I AM

Run, don’t walk to see this documentary film by Tom Shadyac, a true hollywood insider with films like Ace Ventura:Pet Detective, Liar, Liar, and Bruce Almighty,  when it comes out in February.   It is certainly the most inspirational and moving piece I’ve seen in a very long time and to hear Tom speak to us after the preview was a complete bonus.  This is about a man who had it all until something happened that changed everything and so he might have had it all…wrong!  Pictured here with Marianne Williamson, founder of The Peace Alliance, Tom tells the audience how he tried in his earlier life to embody such selfless values but the culture surrounding him became overwhelming as the driving force is always the next thing, bigger and better. He started the film off by asking what is wrong with the world and what we can do about it…but the real answer/response is what is right with the world?  We are all profoundly connected and with kindness, compassion and love, we can make this world a better place.  There are too many insights in this movie not to be missed and I promise it will move you.  And the best part is that all the proceeds from “I Am” will go to the non-profit Tom has set up to fund various worthy causes and to educate the next generation about the very issues and problems explored in the film.  Go to http://www.iamthedoc.com for more info and your own reality check!
